EMERALD BODY CONTOURING
FDA market cleared for
overall body circumference reduction
Are you unsatisfied with your weight? Do you want to see your waistline decrease and watch stubborn fat deposits disappear? Are you ready to see your ideal image realized with a safe, effective, non-invasive treatment? If so, you may be interested in the new Emerald Laser, which offers laser fat loss with cutting-edge technology and impressive clinical results. At Skintology Centre, we’re proud to be the only practice in Tennessee to offer this transformative treatment option as one of our top-quality services.
What is Emerald?
The Emerald Laser is one of the newest weight loss treatments available. It is FDA-cleared for full-body laser fat loss and can treat even the most stubborn areas of fat in multiple regions of the body. The main goal of this treatment, which uses a unique green laser, is to decrease your overall body circumference.
It is the only weight loss device currently cleared by the FDA for patients with a body mass index (BMI) of over 30, giving you a practical, effective way to start your larger weight loss journey. Treatment is performed in the comfort of our office and targets fat from the outside by directing the cold laser technology through the skin to shrink and break down fat cells and emulsify fatty tissue.
In the weeks after treatment, destroyed fat cells are then safely cleared from the body by the lymphatic system. There is zero downtime required after treatment, which most patients report is completely painless and involves zero side effects. Best of all, results include an average of 6% circumference loss in the body and a significant boost in confidence due to noticeable fat loss.
How does it work?
Harmless light energy at specific wavelengths target fat and work at a cellular level, creating a small transitory pore in fat cells that allows fatty liquids to seep out. The body processes these fatty liquids naturally through its lymphatic system.
The fat cells shrink, instead of being killed, a healthier way to safely remove fat from the body.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
This treatment is incredibly versatile and is FDA-cleared to reduce full-body fat and circumference. It can be directly applied to specific pockets of fat, but it is also used to treat larger parts of the body. The most popular sections of the body are the abdomen, hips, and thighs, which often carry more fat deposits. However, the arms, neck/double chin, chest, legs, and back can all be effectively treated. One of our talented doctors can help you evaluate your areas of concern to determine your candidacy for treatment.
How Does it Compare?
This treatment option has many benefits compared to traditional fat reduction options. Unlike liposuction, the Emerald Laser causes absolutely no trauma to the tissue and requires zero recovery time. In addition, there is no discomfort or pain associated with this laser treatment before or after your appointment and no risks associated with an invasive option like liposuction.
CoolSculpting, which is a popular non-invasive treatment for excess fat, may involve more discomfort during treatment than laser fat loss. Results appear more slowly, and more treatments may be needed to achieve desired results. Also, there is the possibility of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia with CoolSculpting.
Finally, the Emerald Laser is the only laser weight reduction option approved to treat patients with BMI up to 30.
Clinical trials showed an average of 6" in circumference lost!!!
Who is Emerald right for?
Patients that are pregnant or undergoing cancer treatment are not ideal candidates for Emerald.
Clinical Trial Information
Harvard University conducted a randomized clinical investigation on Emerald lasers with a study group of 67 people. Those who did not receive a placebo treatment lost an average of 3.51 inches in their waist, hips, and thighs within two weeks. The participants did not alter their diet or exercise throughout the study, which goes to show how powerful these treatments truly are. On average, our clinical trial saw that clients lost an average of 5.9 inches over a period of four weeks.
